This has been a wonderful, challenging, and new experience for the CMJC. We have implemented a whole new curriculum and have had to adjust on every level. Adjusting with us have been 3 men who have persevered through the whole 12 weeks. Though it was a small class. It may have been God's plan in allowing us to work out the details and have more one-on-one time to invest into these men. Please come join us this Friday, the 28th, for free food, music, and celebration as these 3 men graduate the CMJC program and start a journey in a new direction.
Graduation will be hosted at First Untied Methodist Church in Kerrville. 321 Thompson Dr, Kerrville, TX, 78028, at 6 p.m.
According to our bylaws, an officer of the board can only hold office for a one year term. With that being said, we've had some switch-arounds this year, as well as new board members. Our 2015 Board of Directors is as follows:
*Indicates new board member.
Please spread the word that we are going to begin an new class on February the 10th, and therefore we need all applications in by the 6th of Feb. in order to look over them and schedule interviews. We are introducing a whole new curriculum this year, though the focus and lessons are very much the same. Please keep us in your prayers!
Class 20 is drawing to a close. This has been an amazing class, and God has moved powerfully in the lives of these men. We still have a few weeks to go though. Gradation night will be Friday, October 24th, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 St Peter St, Kerrville, TX 78028, at 6 p.m. All are welcome, and we will be providing live music, as well as BBQ provided by Bill's BBQ.
Hope to see you all there! God Bless!
Starting tonight, four of our current students will begin a journey that will most likely change their life to some degree, for some it will be completely life altering. Tonight the men will be dropped off at the Kerrville Walk to Emmaus on Mt. Wesley. To any of your who have gone on one of these walks, you know it is a very special time and that God's presence is very heavy there. They will be gone till Sunday afternoon, completely out of touch with their current lives so that they can completely focus on the message of Christ as it is presented to them. Please keep these four men in prayer over this weekend:
Thank you and God bless.
The current students of Class 20 of the CMJC will be attending the Walk to Emmaus from Sept. 25-28. If you have previously attended a walk to Emmaus or served on an Emmaus team then please consider attending the Candle Light ceremony and be able to see and support these men on their walk. If you cannot attend, please consider a financial gift, as it does cost over $200 for each of these men to attend, and the CMJC sponsors those without family or friends able to act as a sponsor. Also please continue to provide your prayers; they are greatly need.
Please contact Darrin Miller at 830.955.5560 for more information.
Tom Jones and I would like to thank eveyone for their continued support and prayers. We have accepted 9 men into our program, and the opening night is TONIGHT! We are very excited to see Christ do a work in the lives of all of these men, and the volunteers as well. Please continue praying for these 9 men and this program! The devil always comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy, and he will come here too. We need your intercession and support. Thank you all and God bless!
